This Week: 10/4 through 10/10

Have you been to the new-and-improved yet??

Last Thursday I finished a complete overhaul of EE, adding support for tablets and mobile browsers and giving the site a slight facelift. :)

Check it out if you haven’t already, and feel free to let me know if you run into any navigation or usability problems!

Monday in Video Tutorials – With October 31st quickly approaching, it’s the perfect time to get acquainted with the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos! Tomorrow, Kellie Day will demonstrate how to create your own mixed-media paintings themed around the Day of the Dead. Don’t miss it!

Tuesday in Selling Art Online – If you want a simple way to create a full-featured “online gallery” for your art, drop in on Tuesday for my in-depth analysis of Shopify.

I chose to use Shopify when building NUMA Gallery earlier this year, and I’m very glad I did. Even though Shopify is an all-around e-commerce solution (and not specifically marketed as an art website solution), for many artists, I think Shopify would be a great choice. Learn why on Tuesday!

Wednesday in Featured Artists – Drop by for a look at some dreamy watercolor landscapes by Canadian painter Alice Sawicki. After that, why not submit your own artwork to be featured as well? We’re always looking for new artists to showcase!

Thursday in Drawing Tips – Finish out the week with a brand new colored pencil tutorial from Carrie Lewis. This time, she’ll be taking us step-by-step through the process of drawing a chestnut horse grazing in a field.
