Weekly Preview: 7/1 through 7/7

By admin in Weekly Preview

Monday – Tomorrow I’ll be writing about blogging. More specifically, why EVERY artist should have a blog. I’ve written down several good reasons already and I’m aiming for ten—you won’t want to miss this article.

Tuesday – On Tuesday I’ll be looking at the life and works of Henri Matisse, a powerfully colorful painter who lived—and impacted art greatly—through the first half of the 20th century.

Wednesday – Speaking of color, this week’s featured artist uses bold color in a delightfully fun way, and so I just had to show some of her work this week. Check back in on Wednesday for the full story.

Thursday – There’s a new player in town when it comes to selling artist’s work online—so new in fact, that I thought I might as well do the neighborly thing and send some traffic their way. Who is it, you ask? I’ll let you know this Thursday along with a full review of their website.

Friday – I posted a tutorial several months ago on how to make stretcher bars to stretch your own canvas, and this week I decided to do a more thorough follow-up tutorial on the actual stretching part. If you’ve never stretched your own canvas, you might as well come back on Friday and learn how.

Saturday – Another art cartoon, coming up on Saturday. Have a funny idea? Send it in and I might use it for the weekly cartoon!
