Monday in Motivation – What are your big artistic goals (have you written them down yet?) How about life goals? Wherever you’re at in your artistic career, come by and get inspired by reading an excerpt from Carrie Lewis’s bucket list tomorrow!
Tuesday in Featured Artists – Drop in and enjoy some color-soaked cloudscapes by Ober-Rae Starr Livingstone. As always, feel free to submit your own art to be featured as well. We never stop looking for new artists to feature on EmptyEasel.
Wednesday in Drawing Tips – Finish out the week with the third article from Phawnda Moore in her “Calligraphy in the Kitchen” series.
Last week’s articles on EmptyEasel:
How to Draw a Portrait in Three Quarter View
Cathy McClelland: Truly Enchanting Acrylic Landscapes
Three Ways to Draw Plein Air (and a Plein Air Drawing Challenge!)
Plus, in this week’s New Artist Showcase. . .
I’m thrilled to introduce two of our newest Foliotwist artists—Pauline Adair and Richard Mammola.
Pauline is an incredible watercolor artist, focusing primarily on painting the nude female figure in detail. On her website, BodyWorks, she says, “Each and every person has their own individual beauty, outside and inside. . . they are in themselves great masterpieces of creation! Painting people is how I celebrate humankind and each person’s uniqueness. . . as a tribute to our Creator.”
Richard’s eye for desolate landscapes and expertise with brush and oil paints helps him capture windswept coastlines, picturesque lighthouses, and other gorgeous scenery. He also mentions that he accepts commissions (if you have something in mind) so don’t hesitate to contact with your requests.
Got a few minutes to spare this week? Definitely check out both of these artists’ websites, and stay tuned for our next Artist Showcase in a few weeks!
