Monday in Painting Tutorials – Carrie Lewis will continue her latest series, entitled “How to Paint Using the Flemish Method,” with a great step-by-step description of the Flemish underpainting process and plenty of accompanying illustrations. Don’t miss it!
Tuesday in Selling Art Online – One of our Foliotwist artists recently came to us with a very unique idea for selling art online, and when I suggested that she write it up and share it on EmptyEasel she graciously agreed. Check out her idea this Tuesday, and then let us know (in a very short survey) what you think!
Wednesday in Featured Artists – We’ll be showcasing three of Shazia Basheer’s whimsical, light-hearted paintings, all of which I know you’ll absolutely love. And as always, if you’d like to see YOUR artwork featured on EE in the coming year, let us know!
Thursday in Art Opinion – Mary Kemp will share some great insight into the different experiences that women and men have when plein air painting. For those of you who already know where she’s coming from, she’ll also share a few tips that might make plein air painting a little easier, so drop in for those, too.
And lastly, on Saturday make sure to come by our Drawing Tips page for a FREE Craftsy mini class on drawing better portraits! This class is similar to Craftsy’s paid classes, just a little bit shorter (it has 4 HD video lessons rather than the usual 7) and it’s 100% free!
Also, in case you missed last week’s announcement:
There are just a FEW spots left in our Holiday Update series, so if you’re interested, please let me know!
What am I talking about? Well, this Christmas season we wanted to pay it forward and revisit some of the very talented artists we’ve featured on EmptyEasel over the past 8 years. We’ll be publishing short “where are they now” posts every day starting next Sunday and going through New Years.
So this is your chance!
If you’ve ever had your artwork featured on EmptyEasel, and you’d like to be a part of our Holiday Updates series, please let me know via our contact form or by email at emptyeasel@gmail.com. I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible for any additional information we’ll need.
Remember, there are only a few spots left, so if you want to be included, contact me by today or tomorrow and I’ll make sure you’re on the list!
