This Week: 11/9 through 11/15

By admin in Weekly Preview

Monday in Drawing Tips – Carrie Lewis will demonstrate how to add even more color to your drawings, no matter how much wax buildup there is from previous layers of colored pencil.

On Tuesday there will be no new article published in honor of Veterans Day here in the US. . . Thank you to all of you who have served or are currently serving in the United States armed forces!

Quick announcement - EmptyEasel has created a quicker, easier way for artists to have their own art website. Click here to learn more and get a simple art website of your own!

Wednesday in Featured Artists – Drop in for a great mix of colorful pieces from ballpoint artist and abstract painter, Shirish Deshpande. As always, feel free to submit your own artwork to be featured on EE—we’re constantly looking for new artwork to showcase.

Thursday in Painting Tutorials – Niki Hilsabeck will share a work-in-progress showing how to paint a night scene in soft pastels. Don’t miss it!

Plus, on Saturday we’ll be giving away another free eGuide from Craftsy. . . make sure to visit our Drawing Tips page and download your own 25-page, fully-illustrated guide to drawing animals!

And, as I type this, I realize that Craftsy is actually having a “shop to unlock” sale going on this weekend, too. Head on over to see which classes are on sale (from 17-50% off)!
