By admin in Weekly Preview

Monday in Drawing Tips – Drop in tomorrow for another excellent colored pencil tutorial by Carrie Lewis. This time she’ll be demonstrating some techniques for working on a wood surface.

Tuesday in General Art Advice – Tanya Torres is a seasoned traveler and artist with some very good advice for anyone who needs to paint and fly. Don’t miss her 6 tips for traveling with art this Tuesday.

Wednesday in Featured Artists – This week we’ll be showcasing three of Desiree Rose Zaslow’s beautifully touching figurative portraits. As always, if you’d like to see your art featured on EE, send it in!

Thursday in Artist Interviews – Last but not least, join us this Thursday as Alyice Edrich interviews acrylic painter Molly Cranch on her evolving style, PR success (in a feature film, no less) and her creative process.

Ubokia update:

Things are going well with the new Ubokia portal on EmptyEasel, so if you’ve used it to sell your art, or found commission work through it, I’d love to hear your story!

Just send an email to, or use the regular contact form. I’d like to feature some of the artists who have used it successfully, so the more details you can give me about how it worked and what you think of the process, the better.

(For those of you who haven’t checked it out yet, I highly recommend doing so. The interface allows art lovers to describe the type of art they’d LIKE to buy, and gives artists a direct line to those motivated collectors. You can also filter by location, category, etc. Take a look here.)
