Monday in Video Tutorials – Master colored pencil artist, Janie Gildow, will be demonstrating a simple (almost zen) training method for improving your ability to blend colored pencils on paper. If your goal is realism, then this is the technique for you.
Tuesday in Drawing Tips – H. Edward Brooks has sent in another fascinating drawing tutorial, this time explaining how to professionally finish a portrait by adding the darkest darks and finest details. Watch for that article and the accompanying illustrations on Tuesday.
Wednesday in Featured Artists – Finding beauty in a long commute is something most of us probably can’t imagine, but Jeremy Price’s paintings of people walking, biking and driving to work are well worth a look. Drop by mid-week to check them out.
Thursday in Art Marketing Tips – Alyice Edrich will be sharing 5 reasons why you may want to use Flickr, the free photo-sharing service, to host your blog images. As always, I can’t recommend Alyice’s advice enough.
On Friday I’ll be busy scheduling all of the Holiday artwork that will be featured on EmptyEasel the week after Christmas.
If you’d like to participate and have your own artwork featured on EE before the end of the year, it’s not too late. . . read this and then send in your artwork (but be warned, you’ve only got a few days left!)
Last week’s articles on EmptyEasel:
