This Week: 11/30 through 12/6

By admin in Weekly Preview

Monday in General Art Advice – Drop in tomorrow for some excellent cold-weather plein air painting tips from Dianne Panarelli Miller. It may be chilly outside, but the winter is still a great time to paint—as long as you go prepared!

Tuesday in Painting Tutorials – Carrie Lewis will be starting a brand new series this Tuesday demonstrating the Flemish Method of painting. (If you’ve seen artwork by Peter Paul Rubens, for example, this is the style he used.) It’s an in-depth process, but definitely worth learning about.

Wednesday in Featured Artists – Come back this Wednesday for some high-contrast pop-culture portraits by Steven “Grit” Lombardi. We feature new artists every week on EE, so feel free to submit your own artwork for next time, too!

Thursday in Motivation – Lisa Orgler has found another great cause to support on Kickstarter, and she’ll be sharing all about it (and the special needs children it involves) this Thursday. Don’t miss it!

Last but not least, on Saturday our friends over at Craftsy will be hosting a FREE giveaway contest for one of their classes. Come by our Drawing Tips page this weekend to find out which class it is, and how you can win.
