This Week: 7/17 through 7/23

By admin in Weekly Preview

Monday in Video Tutorials – In tomorrow’s video clip, Craig Nelson will demonstrate several great little techniques that you can use with a kneadable eraser to pull out white highlights from a charcoal or duo-tone drawing.

Tuesday in Art Opinion – When an artist does multiple paintings or drawings of a single scene, and sells them separately, what do the collectors think about it? Sharon Weaver was curious, so she made a point to ask. . . and she’ll share what she found out this Tuesday.

Wednesday in Featured Artists – Ron Bigony’s watercolor paintings showcase realistic yet charming depictions of run-down barns, people-filled city streets, and even some wild flowers. Come by and see a few of his paintings on Wednesday, then feel free to submit your own artwork to be featured as well.

Thursday in Artist Interviews – Alyice Edrich will be speaking with Diane Allison, an artist who has developed quite an interesting niche for herself by creating custom, hand-painted game boards. Drop in on Thursday for the full story.

Friday in Art Opinion – Is there such a thing as doing too much art licensing of your work? And at what point (if any) is it considered “selling out”? Karen Middleton will explore that issue at the end of the week.
