Monday in Video Tutorials – Tomorrow, watch as oil painter Ned Mueller demonstrates his process for successfully painting figure within a scene. Unlike a traditional portrait, Ned shows how just a few strokes of light and dark can convey the idea of a person—because sometimes that’s all you need.
Tuesday in Motivation – John R. Math has come up with “7 habits of highly effective artists,” based on the famous “7 habits of highly effective people.” I think it’s both interesting and inspiring, so please drop in on Tuesday for that.
Wednesday in Featured Artists – Check back on Wednesday to see some excellent portraits by Robin Mitchell, a daily painter. And of course, while you’re here don’t forget to submit your own artwork to be featured as well.
Thursday in Art Marketing Tips – Alyice Edrich will be sharing some valuable tips for setting up and maintaining a blogging schedule. For those of you who blog to promote your art, but don’t follow a regular posting schedule, I’d highly recommend it.
Friday in GIMP Help – It’s been a while since I posted a tutorial for GIMP users, but Clemens Greis sent me a great tutorial the other day on fixing distorted artwork images and I think it’s worth a look. Come by anytime this weekend for that.
