This Week: 2/9 through 2/15

By admin in Weekly Preview

Monday in Painting Tutorials – Drop in tomorrow for Michelle Morris’s detailed introduction to “flat washes” (as well as a few other very important watercolor techniques) for beginning painters.

Tuesday in Featured Artists – This week we’ll be featuring Carol Heyer, an award-winning full-time illustrator and writer whose illustrations are whimsical, layered, and magical. As always, if you’d like your own art to be featured on EE, send it in!

Wednesday in General Art Advice – Have you ever been told that it’s easier to paint an unfamiliar object or face than a familiar one? Is that always true? Niki Hilsabeck doesn’t think so, and will explain why this Wednesday.

We’ll be knocking off early this week, so there will be no new article published on Thursday. From all of us at EmptyEasel, have a great Valentine’s Day weekend!
