This Week: 1/2 through 1/8

By admin in Weekly Preview

Monday in Motivation – Four years ago, at the start of 2007, I published an article on EmptyEasel about my approach to New Year’s resolutions. I still believe in (and use) the system that I wrote about back then, so tomorrow I’ll be reposting that same article for THIS year. Hopefully it will inspire you.

Tuesday in Art Opinion – John Stillmunks will be sharing his thoughts on plagiarism, and how art fairs seem to be full of artists copying other artists. His take on it—as a professional artist—may surprise you.

Wednesday in Featured Artists – Start the year off right by checking out some beautifully vibrant abstracts by Habib Ayat. Then, submit your own art to be featured at EmptyEasel’s artwork submission page .

On Thursday and Friday I’ll be taking some time off to interview new writers for EE. I’ve received a lot of emails over the past few months from people interested in writing, and I apologize to those of you who haven’t received a response from me yet. You will.

My goal is to add two or three new weekly writers to EmptyEasel in 2011, in addition to Alyice Edrich and Lisa Orgler. Alyice and Lisa do an incredible job of writing articles every week for EE, while still keeping their own blogs and websites going. If I could find three more writers just like them I’d be over the moon. :)

If you’re interested, shoot me an email or use my contact form to let me know. I promise to get back to you this week with more information.

The last (few) week’s posts on EmptyEasel:

For the past two weeks I’ve been posting holiday artwork from about 20 artists. Check those out at EmptyEasel’s Featured Artists page.
