Monday – Just recently I got a great email from artist Jim Flanagan (reviewed here) with some insight about organic and inorganic oil paint. He’s agreed to let me re-publish that email here on EE, and actually, I’d love to publish more articles written by any of you as well. Send me a message if you‘re interested.
Tuesday – I’m taking a break from reviewing submitted artwork this week, and instead I’ll be featuring a painter I find online myself. (Just like old times.) But by all means, keep submitting your artwork! I look at everything that comes in, and some of it does make it onto EmptyEasel.
Wednesday – You know, it’s amazing what’s online these days. Coming up on Wednesday I’ll feature a new(ish) art community with a twist. If you often find yourself bored at work or desperate to doodle, you won’t want to miss it.
Thursday – I’ll be writing about a fourth color in my color series this Thursday. So far I’ve covered Green, Red, and Blue, and coming up this week is the color Yellow.
Friday – After receiving a question from a reader about how to digitally “stitch together” segments of scanned art in Photoshop (his painting was larger than his scanner) I’ve decided to go through the process step-by-step myself and write up a tutorial. If you have large artwork that you’d like to sell online but only have a regular-sized scanner, then this is the article for you.
Saturday – Back to the drawing board. I’ll try to mix up something new and interesting in my weekly cartoon. Maybe even use my new program, Corel Painter. . .
