This Week: 9/19 through 9/25

Published Sep. 18th 2010

Monday in Video Tutorials - Tomorrow Craig Nelson will demonstrate some great tips for laying in warms and cools, using pastels. He’ll also explain why it’s more important to match the values that you see, rather than the exact color.

Tuesday in Art Marketing - Do you belong to more than one social network online, like Facebook, and Twitter, AND Blogger? Well, this Tuesday Ronnie Tucker will share how to save time by quickly posting new updates to multiple online locations all at once. Don’t miss it!

Wednesday in Featured Artists - Drop in on Wednesday to see some impasto-style paintings (made primarily with a palette knife) by oil painter, Halima Washington. As always, feel free to submit your own artwork to be featured as well.

Thursday in Artist Interviews - Alyice Edrich will be talking with author, quilter, and pattern-designer Debra Gabel. You’ll learn how Debra went from simply designing patterns to teaching quilting courses and finally running her own art business.

Friday in Motivation - Come back at the end of the week to hear Steve Strode’s audacious painting goal and (hopefully) be inspired to create your own goal as well.
