Introducing Two New Writers for EmptyEasel

Published on Jul. 9th 2009

As many of you know, over the past few weeks I’ve been going through a lot of applications to find some additional permanent writers for EmptyEasel.com. Today I’m very pleased to announce two more writers/artists who will be joining the writing staff at EE—Doris Glovier and Charlotte B. DeMolay.

You’ll be hearing more from them over the coming months, but for the time being, here’s a brief introduction:

Doris Glovier is a published author of three books whose arts and crafts designs have appeared in several nationally distributed magazines.

After moving from design into fine art, Doris now works as an artist and art teacher at the Delmarva Discovery Center, a local museum. She has also been active online as the owner of one art discussion group, and a moderator for several others.

Her primary mediums are oils, watercolor, pastels and photography (including digital artwork). You can find her painting blog at DorisGlovier.blogspot.com and her official website is at www.DorisGlovier.com .

Charlotte B. DeMolay started out painting in watercolor and pastels, but has since transitioned into working almost entirely in acrylic and collage.

She has been both an art teacher and art department head, and now teaches private art classes for all ages, from preschoolers to adults.

Charlotte’s website is www.DeMolay.com with a blog at www.demolay.com/blog .

Feel free to explore both artists’ websites, but make sure to come back tomorrow to participate in a quick poll. . . I’ll be asking what type of articles YOU’D like to see on EmptyEasel, then using that information to plan out future series.

And of course, even with new writers, I’m always interested in publishing reader-submitted articles. :) So if you’d like to share a technique, an opinion, or a story, please don’t hesitate to send it my way .
