In today’s video, Sherrill Kahn demonstrates how to achieve an airbrush-style effect on paper or fabric using acrylic paint and painting sponges.
As you’ll see below, the trick is to remove nearly all the paint from the sponge before whisking or rubbing it across your surface. The lighter you press, the lighter the effect. Masking tape offers even more control over your final result. Take a look:
