This week’s poll is on art prints and original artwork.
Some artists are totally against making reproductions of their paintings, while other artists just want to sell prints of their work over and over again (and don’t care that much about selling the originals.)
I’ve had several guest writers on EmptyEasel in the past who have spoken out about this topic one way or the other. . . but where do you stand?
As I write this, the poll numbers are dead even—nine artists are for prints, another nine are against, and twelve artists don’t mind either way.
Check out the latest results below (they may have changed already) and please feel free to cast your own vote if you haven’t yet.
Would you rather sell reproductions of your art, or the original artwork?
- I don’t want to sell prints or reproductions of my work.
- I’m willing to sell either prints OR originals - I don’t have a preference.
- I’d rather sell prints and reproductions than my original works
