I’ve always enjoyed making my own stamps (which I use in many of my mixed media pieces) so today I thought it would be fun to demonstrate my process, and explain exactly how easy it is.
The video below starts off by listing all the materials you’ll need, and then gives step-by-step instructions on how to carve a few basic stamps—things like letters, for example, or a fun butterfly. At the end, I include a peek at more complex stamps that border on print making. . . Enjoy!
If you’d like to learn more about my mixed-media techniques, I’m also teaching a 12-day online course starting June 13, 2015. Click here to learn more!
