This Week: 6/28 through 7/4

Published Jun. 28th 2009

Monday in Motivation – Come by tomorrow to meet EmptyEasel’s newest permanent writer, Stede Barber. Stede is an oil painter and pastelist, as well as a former art teacher, and I’m very excited to have her on our team. (I’m still going through some of the other applications, so I may have another introduction to make next week, too!)

Tuesday in Art Marketing Tips – I know, I know, I say it a lot. . . but having a blog really IS a great way to spread the word about your art. This Tuesday, however, I want to focus on why I think it’s important to put your blog and portfolio together on one website—and I’ll even list several ways (free and paid) that you can make it happen.

Wednesday in Featured Artists – This week’s featured artist is Cynthia Blair, a multi-talented painter who works in oil, pastel, and digital mediums. Drop in on Wednesday to see some of her beautiful seascapes, and don’t forget to submit your own art to be featured as well.

Thursday in Selling Art Online – Zac and I have been working on adding a major feature to foliotwist for about a month now, so we’re pretty happy to announce that it’s finally ready to go live. :) Join us on Thursday to see what the fuss is all about.

And. . . on Friday I’ll be traveling, so I won’t be publishing anything new that day. For everyone here in the US, I hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
