This Week: 2/22 through 2/28

Published Feb. 22nd 2009

Monday in Drawing Tips - Tomorrow I’ll be posting Rose Welty’s first article on getting an art education for free. Rose has compiled a tremendous list of articles, videos, podcasts—even full books—which are available online and offer the same level of drawing instruction found in college classes. Definitely a must-read.

Tuesday in Painting Tutorials - If Monday’s article doesn’t have enough to keep you busy, come back on Tuesday and check out Dianne Mize’s practical suggestions for incorporating more variations of line and form in your paintings.

Wednesday in Featured Artists - This week I’ll be featuring some lovely geometrically-influenced abstracts by Marianne Hornbuckle. As always, if you’d like the chance to have your own art featured EE please submit it here.

Thursday in Selling Art Online - Drop in this Thursday for my review of Zibbet.com, a new online art gallery that just launched this month. (For purposes of full disclosure you should know that Zibbet is currently advertising on EE.)

Friday in Painting Tutorials - Robert Sloan will wrap up the week by sharing a step-by-step process for painting with pastels. His article focuses mostly on color-blending and color theory, so it should be helpful no matter which medium you use.
