This post is part of EmptyEasel’s "spread the holiday cheer" experiment, where we’ve simply invited everyone to share their three favorite artists or art websites.
Here’s Dena McMurdie’s list:
1. Leon Parson at www.LeonParson.com
Leon is one of the artists that I respect and admire the most. In addition to being an accomplished wildlife artist, he is a magnificent teacher. I took every class I possibly could from him while I was in college. He has the ability to portray his subject, whether it is wildlife, the figure, the landscape, or still life, with clarity and confidence.
2. Kevin Macpherson at www.KevinMacpherson.com
Kevin is a seasoned landscape artist who has won numerous awards. His landscapes are full of light and color. In addition to his beautiful paintings, he has published instructional books on his painting techniques. The latest one is called "Landscape Painting - Inside and Out".
3. Fine Art America at www.fineartamerica.com
Fine Art America is a gallery site that artists can upload their portfolio to. There are many wonderful features to the site, including print-on-demand, forums, groups, and a customizable shopping cart for your personal website.
