This Week: 10/7 through 10/13

Published on Oct. 6th 2007

Monday in Art Opinion - Over the past few weeks several sources have contacted me about a new website for fine artists. Unfortunately, what I’ve been hearing so far is NOT good. On Monday I’ll give you the name of the site and why you might want to avoid it.

Tuesday in Selling Art Online - This sixth installment of my SEO for Artists series will explain how to “highlight” certain words that you want the search engines to really notice throughout your website. You might be surprised how simple it is—there’s no html or coding knowledge required!

Wednesday in Featured Artists - Another artist will debut this week on EE, but exactly who that artist is is still up in the air. I’ll be making that decision early this week, and as always, feel free to submit your own art if you‘d like to be considered.

Thursday in Art Movements - Join me for a quick jaunt into Surrealism, one of the most mind-bending visual art movements of the 20th century featuring dreamlike imagery, symbolism, and even psychology.

Friday in General Art Advice - Just starting your art career? Well then don’t miss Kimberley Walton’s guide to preparing an art portfolio—with a little effort you can really stand out from the crowd.

Got tips of your own you’d like to share? Write ‘em down and send ‘em in! If your article gets published I’ll link back to your website and send some traffic your way.
