This Week: 9/9 through 9/15

Published on Sep. 8th 2007

Monday - Most artists sign their artwork on the front, in one of the bottom corners. I suppose it’s important in one sense (to let people know who the artist was) but tomorrow I’ll talk about why I don’t. Perhaps some of you will agree with my reasoning.

Tuesday - On Tuesday I’ll share some new information from BoundlessGallery.com. They’ve added some new features since I last reviewed them, along with pricing changes and even a special discount for EE readers. Don’t miss it!

Wednesday - Check back on Wednesday for this week’s featured artist, and remember to submit your own artwork if you’d like to be considered.

Thursday - AbsoluteArts.com is a website for artists that I’ve been wanting to review for a while now. I’ll cover their pricing and features on Thursday, and let you know how they compare to other art-selling websites I’ve looked at in the past.

Friday - There have been several recent articles submitted to EmptyEasel that support art prints and the art print market, but I know at least one artist out there has a different opinion. On Friday make sure to drop in and read what Karen Cooper has to say about prints vs. originals.

If you’d like your own opinion to be heard, don’t hesitate to write in.

Occasionally I get emails from readers asking my opinion about various art-selling websites they’ve found—last week’s Ugallery article came about that way, and so did today’s article on ArtworkNetwork.com. Recently an email was sent out to Artist Rising members that listed some changes planned for the coming months. I thought those changes were worth a mention, especially since my last post on Artist Rising was a little open-ended, so here they are (along with my analysis.) The most obvious diff. . . read more
I'm always on the lookout for interesting art sites, and I thought I'd mention two of them that I visit regularly.
