This Week: 5/18 through 5/24

By admin in Weekly Preview

Monday in Painting Tutorials – Come by for several tips from Niki Hilsabeck on the best ways to use spray fixative with your soft pastels. She’ll cover the pros and cons of using fixative, and even some things to think about before you start.

Tuesday in General Art Advice – As artists, sometimes it’s necessary to educate others on the value of what we create—especially when they’re asking us to create for free. Alisa Steady has a method she uses, and she’ll be sharing that on Tuesday.

Wednesday in Featured Artists – Swing by for a look at Isidora Marzano’s intriguing, collage-style paintings. As always, if you’d like your own artwork to be featured on EE, send it in! We’re always looking for new artists to feature.

Thursday in Painting Tutorials – Finish out the week with a short watercolor tutorial from Michelle Morris. She’ll be taking the concepts she’s been covering in her earlier lessons (using the color wheel) and applying them towards a simple still life painting.
