This Week: 7/10 through 7/16

By admin in Weekly Preview

Monday in Video Tutorials – Tomorrow, watercolor expert Betty Carr will demonstrate some excellent warm-up exercises that you can use before jumping into a painting. She also offers some great advice for painters, especially in regards to keeping a loose, fresh quality in your brushstrokes.

Tuesday in Art Marketing Tips – The way that we speak and interact with art buyers makes all the difference when selling art. On Tuesday, Aletta de Wal will discuss the art of conversation. . . invaluable knowledge whether you’re at your first gallery showing, or your fiftieth.

Wednesday in Featured Artists – Drop by mid-week to see a few of Nancy Standlee’s mixed-media collage paintings. They’re bold, bright, and fun, and I guarantee you’ll love them. As always, feel free to submit your own artwork to be featured on EE as well.

Thursday in Painting Tutorials – I’m a perfectionist. . . but as a painter, I know that can sometimes hinder true inspiration. This Thursday, Susan Holland will share 12 ways that you can create intentional “accidents” in your painting, just to stir things up and bring a bit of life and energy into your creative routine.

Friday in Art Marketing Tips – If you’ve been using Google Blogger for your art blog, you may have started out using Labels to describe your posts, and then wanted to switch over to Categories but didn’t know the best way to do it. Well, come back Friday, because Alyice Edrich will take you through the entire process.
