Have you ever visited an art blog where the basic comment tagline was replaced with something cute like, “12 Birdies Tweeted” or “5 Painters Said” or “7 Lovely Readers Wrote” and wondered how they did that?
Below are 4 simple steps for personalizing your comment tagline.
Step 1: Sign into your blog
Go to blogger.com, enter your username and password, and click sign in.
Step 2: Go to the design page
Click on the blue “design” link.
This will take you to the “Add and Arrange Page Elements Page.”
Above, you can see the large box titled “Blog Posts” and inside the “Blog Posts” box is a button that says “Edit.” Click on the “Edit” link (it will open a new window).
It is here that you will make the change in your comment tag.
Step 3: Change your comment tag
Scroll down until you see the line that says “5 comments”. Delete the word “comments” and enter the word or phrase that you’d like the comment tag to say instead. (For the purpose of this tutorial I’ve chosen “Artists said:” as my phrase.)
After you’re done, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the orange “Save” button. This will save your changes and return you to the previous window.
Step 4: View your changes
To make sure the changes took effect, click on the blue “View Blog” link visible in the upper left corner of the screen.
Clicking on the “View Blog” link will open your blog in a new window. Scroll down to your comments section to see the changes you’ve made.
And that’s all it takes to personalize your comment tagline. Enjoy!
