This Week: 5/24 through 5/30

By admin in Weekly Preview

Monday – In honor of Memorial Day here in the US, there will be no new article tomorrow. If you have the day off, enjoy it—and don’t forget the reason why you can.

Tuesday in Art Marketing Tips – Jane Heinrichs recently sent in a great marketing article which describes A) some ways to get air time on your local radio station, and B) how you can capitalize on that type of publicity. If that sounds like it might be up your alley, then don’t miss this Tuesday’s article.

Wednesday in Featured Artists – Oil painter Joshua Flint has a tremendous ability to create space and depth inside his paintings. See his work on EmptyEasel this Wednesday, and feel free to submit your own work too.

Thursday in Selling Art Online – Trunkt.org is an online showcase of high-quality art by talented artists—and although it’s not technically a place to buy or sell, I’d still group it in with other art-selling websites. Taylor Gillis has the full review on Thursday.

Friday in Motivation – Do we need to be inspired to create art? Or is good art possible, even if we don’t feel any inspiration? Rebecca Finch asks that question and shares her (in my opinion, excellent) answer this Friday.
