This Week: 3/15 through 3/21

By admin in Weekly Preview

Monday in Art Marketing Tips – Over the past few years of blogging I’ve realized that there are many different ways to build a successful art blog. (Some artists use their blogs primarily to teach, others to self-promote, etc.) If you’re trying to choose a direction for your own art blog, come back tomorrow for a full list of blogging “styles” that could work for you.

Tuesday in Painting Tutorials – Dianne Mize has put together a very helpful tutorial on the technique of foreshortening—describing methods such as plumbing, charting, and angling—which I’ll be publishing this Tuesday.

Wednesday in Featured Artists – Raymond Logan is an accomplished oil painter who also creates tiny, postcard-sized paintings nearly every day. Drop in on Wednesday for the full article by Lisa Orgler.

Thursday in Selling Art Online – Recently I found an online gallery that does something I’ve always wanted to do—they only offer ONE artwork for sale per day. Interesting idea, right? I’ll have the full review on Thursday.

Friday in Painting Tutorials – Angela Fehr sent in a great article this week explaining how you can use photo-editing programs (like Photoshop, GIMP, etc) to compose your next painting. Don’t miss it!
