By admin in Weekly Preview

From the trends in today’s art world it seems as though the future of art and technology will be closely linked.

This week’s articles showcase some of that, from basic photography to the power of computers and digital manipulation, and even to the internet.

MondayAre some art techniques cheating? Has technology helped or hindered artists in the 21st century? Click the link to read about some techniques artists use to make their art, and my opinion on whether their methods are all beneficial.

Tuesday – On Tuesday the article will be Photography: From Daguerreotypes to Digital Cameras, including the names, themes, and influences that shaped the artistic world starting over one hundred and fifty years ago with the invention of the camera. We’ll see how cameras changed the world then, and how they’re changing it now.

Wednesday – Coming on Wednesday I’ll pick out a few well-known photographers and critique some of their work. I decided on Ansel Adams, Dorothea Lange, and Gregory Colbert so you’ll want to be sure to check that out, especially if they’re new to you.

ThursdayFinding your Niche in Art. A day for readers’ opinions, Q&As, or another round of discussion from interesting links and articles from around the web. Thursdays are about what YOU want to talk about, so if there’s something you’d like me to address next Thursday, drop me a line at my contact page.

Friday – This How-to article describes 9 Steps to Creating Better Compositions. Good compositions are an absolute must-have in two-dimensional art, and don’t even require natural talent.
